Verdict: Mika, as he is known to fans, has a Thai father and Welsh mother. He spent his formative years in Thailand before moving to Wales with his mother aged 10. He was a trainee on Cardiff City’s books and played for Wales Under-17s, alongside Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey.

Made the move to Thailand with Muangthong United in 2009, and several clubs later joined Bangkok United in 2014.

Thrived in 2016 under Mano Polking’s management of the high-flying Angels, and won his first official Thailand cap in the King’s Cup, coming on as a sub against Syria and successfully converting his spot kick in the penalty shoot-out. Read ThaiGoals’ recent interview with him here.
